The magazine articles took off, because I was traveling, and gaining stories from outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Readers in Las Vegas were sick of reading about Las Vegas. Hollywood readers were sick of stories in Southern California. If you write about Missouri, readers in Los Angeles will pay attention to the magazine article. If you write about Las Vegas, readers in San Francisco will be more interested in readers in Las Vegas. Photography was the same; San Francisco readers loved to see female models from Las Vegas. Models in Las Vegas wanted to take photographs on San Francisco cable cars, coastlines, add portraits of them on the beach, Golden Gate Bridge, and I was getting out of town. Covering stories from other angles. Thinking out of the box. Going the extra mile paid off. The magazines were taking my articles. The models were traveling with me. San Diego models worked on stories from Las Vegas, Nevada. Sonoma County models were meeting me for photographs in San Francisco's Ocean Beach, Baker Beach, and the camera was easy to travel with.
