Escape

Writing is hard. Marijuana is an escape. Often marijuana is an escape from the work of writing. Judgment, people judge themselves, especially when they read over their own material. I am not talking about editing. Checking for grammar mistakes, spelling errors, when I discuss writing, I am talking about pulling the memories out of your brain the way a body builder lifts more weights to increase the size of his shoulders. Marijuana has been known to suppress the pain. Marijuana has been known to mellow the mind so that the body builder doesn't' pay attention to the strain, goal of getting big muscles, to the point that marijuana is often known to be a muscle relaxant. Writing takes the use of memory. The writer counts on his skill to remember how to spell the vocabulary words that make his pages flow with paragraphs. Alcoholics, writers have been know to drink wine, whiskey, and gin. They have been known to write on heroine. I get more jobs from smokers that have tall tales to

Trim Operations

Stoners, the statement was degrading, blunt to the point of fault, the owner said in her tone, attitude, and disregard, when I asked how she hired and who she hired, "I find weak people with an addiction to drugs, a criminal record, a disposition to work only with marijuana, and I make them an offer they can't refuse. I hire people that are addicted. I find people that have few hopes, no choices, or just like to work around cannabis. I will never forget. To this day, I will never forget. I didn't want to look at people that way when I worked with them. I didn't want anything to do with buying or purchasing her trim operation. Transportation to Henderson, Nevada; Las Vegas, Nevada; I didn't want to do that to another business owner. I learned that it was best not to get involved. The investments. The deals. Multi-million dollar corporations are bankrupt. I saw it. I was there. I saw the worst characters in the business. I watched government leaders, politicians, and

Once in Denver, a Colorado trim operation wanted to sell to a company in Las Vegas, Nevada. The primary leaders came to me, flew out to meet me in Las Vegas, then I drove to Denver to inspect their operation. My job was to sell the entire operation to a Nevada based business. Henderson, Nevada, south of Las Vegas, Henderson had the space that they wanted to farm in. I was puzzled. The owner of the Denver based business said something that did not feel right - Her tone did not feel appropriate. I asked questions. Many questions were answered with cheer. Honesty was everywhere as I toured the building. Then I met the employees. Went to the next business with employees. Asked them questions. Enjoying the adventure of learning, I was enthusiastic about meeting the team of trimmers. I asked the owner, "How to find these workers?" Where did they come from? I wanted to know how to encourage a work force to trim marijuana plants. I wanted to know how I would hire my staff. How do I f

Bankruptcy

Marijuana Dominatrix, the name Dominatrix, was for products revolving around THC. Marijuana Mistress was for products surrounded by the CBD industry of oils, cosmetics, and basic consumption. The business model for many marijuana companies was to take the money and run in the same way that many drug dealers dealt with marijuana on the black market before marijuana became legal instead of criminal. As I write these words before the Thanksgiving holiday season, marijuana companies are going bankrupt. The streets are filled with lies, rumors, and deals made that expose crimes against investors. Investors see the truth only after they find that they will never gain their interest. The money is lost. Gone forever. Greed. Promises. People did not do business. They didn't question the business plans. They stopped being skeptical. What is the plan? Where are the weaknesses? What are the threats?  Written by Thomas Chee  This is a work of fiction. Articles

Image
The magazine articles took off, because I was traveling, and gaining stories from outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Readers in Las Vegas were sick of reading about Las Vegas. Hollywood readers were sick of stories in Southern California. If you write about Missouri, readers in Los Angeles will pay attention to the magazine article. If you write about Las Vegas, readers in San Francisco will be more interested in readers in Las Vegas. Photography was the same; San Francisco readers loved to see female models from Las Vegas. Models in Las Vegas wanted to take photographs on San Francisco cable cars, coastlines, add portraits of them on the beach, Golden Gate Bridge, and I was getting out of town. Covering stories from other angles. Thinking out of the box. Going the extra mile paid off. The magazines were taking my articles. The models were traveling with me. San Diego models worked on stories from Las Vegas, Nevada. Sonoma County models were meeting me for photographs in San Francisco'

Messages

Image
The photographs conveyed a message. The story was about fashion models expressing themselves to get jobs at the Las Vegas expo. This is an example. Another example would be, a photographer met fashion models while photographing models for book covers involving murder mysteries. These covers to the fiction novels took guns, dangerous, sharp knives with steel razor designs, ominous curves, and the message with a guitar conveyed music. Music with danger. Rock and Roll was dangerous. Risk was taken by the musicians. Practice without a hit and the band with break up before they quit. I took photographs that got the message across. I was a popular photographer in Santa Barbara, California. I had access to Hollywood talent. Hollywood studios let me use their area in exchange for websites that I web designed for the directors, casting agents, and studio producers. On the side, I did websites for motorcycle shops, secretaries that had clothing companies as side hustles to work a side job, and t

Emerald Triangle Northern California Marijuana Tours : Would anybody like to join me in a hike through the grow in the marijuana mountains of the Emerald Triangle this summer? June is here. I am dancing in the streets of San Francisco this weekend at the Haight Ashbury Parade. My friends and I plan on taking a morning hike under the Golden Gate Bridge before we go to breakfast in Sausalito. Drive north through the vast wineries along the river roads with cannabis dispensaries in Sonoma County, Mendocino, and up to Arcata. Trails of marijuana by nurseries filled with flower along the Avenue of the Giants, a redwood grove filled with the largest trees on the planet. The Emerald Triangle is the region where I was raised that produces more marijuana than can be found anywhere on the globe. Over 10,000 square miles. My friends and I hiked and fished in the rivers for fun. We camped with the community YMCA. The space is over 10,200 square miles with the world’s largest marijuana grow. Las

The homeless walking in the street have little to lose. They have nothing. Police are busy. They don’t want to make constant trips to the detention centers over homeless people begging for money in the streets. This is not good for the tourist business in Nevada. Nevada is not known for education. The quality of education has the worst numbers in the nation. Written by Thomas Chee. This is a work of fiction. These books and novels are works of fiction. Surroundings

San Francisco has many industries that are supported by the best universities in the world. Dozens of the best colleges on the planet surround the Golden Gate Bridge, because the best professors want to teach in the Bay Area. San Francisco is a popular tourist hub. San Francisco also has financial institutions, technology companies, creative industries surrounding media, advertising, and the growth continues outside of San Francisco. In the north, you have wine, marijuana, dairy milk producers creating the best ice creams, cheeses, and this combines with the industries that support timber, fishing, and tourists that seek adventure surfing, cycling, hiking, and mountain climbing. San Francisco does not need Las Vegas to expand, especially in the marijuana industry. The stores in the Haight Ashbury do not need to move to San Francisco. The nurseries growing cannabis in Humboldt County do not need to ship to Las Vegas. The university students do not need to find jobs in Las Vegas. There

The Emerald Triangle is the redwood forest where my family and I camped as a kid. In the summer, when my father was sick, I went deep into the forests with school children and camp counselors. We lived in the groves for a week. As I grew old enough to drive, we left high school to fish in the Emerald Triangle forests. Now I travel throughout the world with an invitation to government meetings surrounding marijuana legislation and the officials are impressed with my familiarity surround the world’s largest marijuana grow known as the Emerald Triangle. They are shocked at my knowledge of psychedelic mushrooms, the fertilizers used to turn grapes into wine in the region, and the knowledge that I have of cannabis in the Emerald Triangle. We never really thought about where we lived when we lived there. Napa, Sonoma, Humboldt County, Arcada, we tracked Bigfoot on hikes. A handful of teens climbed up the hills near the dairy farms to harvest psychedelic mushrooms after school. A few girls

Communicators

Image
Why do I write this? I have the experience to connect people and bring these businesses together. It surprises me at times, because I know a lot of people, and realize that the network began simply because my mother and father were great communicators. They taught me how to listen, liked each person they met with enthusiastic energy, seriously my mother and father embraced traveling and meeting new people. My mother reached out to strangers when they were hiking near the Golden Gate Bridge and offered them rides into San Francisco to show them treasurers. My father would stop at a grocery store in Chinatown to buy and cut into an exotic fruit so that I could try the meat of the fruit for the first time. Written by Thomas Chee. My brothers and I followed my mother’s lead by embracing books. We read National Geographic magazine with her. She read three news papers each morning; New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle and our town favorite the local Press Democrat in Sonoma County. I embraced the world outside of a safe comfort zone. Often I regret having left the paradise of the San Francisco Bay Area. I sleep peacefully in parks when I pull over to park my car at a rest stop in the redwood groves surrounded by marijuana farms. But I paid the price by leaving so that I could explore the world. I wanted to understand government. I went to the walks in Tel Aviv, Yugoslavia, Egypt, Israel, Turkey. I lived in Prague when Czechoslovakia split. There was a civil war in the main avenues of Prague, San Francisco during the Persian Gulf War, and I was surprised because I had just come back from Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, Egypt when the bombs were dropped on Baghdad in Iraq. I was at the World Trade Center when the towers

Torn

Image
I woke up from a nap when a giant earthquake shook my apartment in San Francisco. I almost died of illness on the Yangtze River, Nile River, and on a bus through Yugoslavia from Prague to Istanbul. I left. Many times I think that my life would have been different if I had stayed in Sonoma County, but I left paradise to explore the war torn areas of the globe. I could have stayed and tried to live in Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Tiburon, the best places to live in California. I often regret the struggle of breaking away from my comfort zone, but now I bring people back. Businesses, corporate clients, the chairman of large companies, and leaders in government, marijuana legislation, lab scientists, dispensary owners, cannabis investors. I share the opportunities in the Sonoma Wine Country and Emerald Triangle marijuana industry with a knowledge and enthusiasm of a Northern California diplomat who acts as the bridge ambassador bringing people together to network and do business. Freeways

Image
I can take you on tours of the Emerald Triangle, which I recommend, because the groves I visit are impossible to find, especially with GPS systems. I often laugh, because I offer to take corporate leaders from the marijuana industry into the Emerald Triangle, and they decide to save money by flying into San Francisco or Oakland, where they rent a car, and drive north into the unknown forests all by themselves. They have never driven in traffic around the Bay Area of San Francisco. They have no idea when an exit to a freeway will come up. The streets, times for rush hour traffic, and highway system are new for them. Worst, instead of sightseeing, learning, they have to keep their eyes on the road. After all, they are driving into the unknown forests. There are no street lights hanging from the redwood trees at night. The ocean breeze brings in a thick fog that can blind the driver, especially new drivers that shine their headlights bright into the fog. Never use bright headlights in a f

Unpredictable

Image
Instead of doing business, learning where to turn, or meeting people with a restful conscious, the new driver from Missouri, Colorado, or Nevada are driving, finding their way, lost, and frustrated, so when do they stop to do business with leaders in the Northern California marijuana industry? Many of the visitors find themselves in the middle of freezing weather when they drive close to the sea. Humboldt County is not Clark County in the heart of Las Vegas’ Mojave Desert. The temperatures are not hot. The night time temperatures are cold, wet with humidity, but they think they can save money, save time, be independent, and scout out business opportunities on their own without getting out of the car to stop, learn, listen, meet executives.   Drivers on the 101 freeway can drive right past Geyserville, Garberville, and Willis without knowing that they just drove past the freeway exit. The experts, cloners, farmers, and growers are in the heart of the Emerald Triangle. Tour with me or take your chances finding your way around the airport’s parking, San Francisco freeway system, and highway road full of loggers transporting trees on large trucks that take up an entire road as their load of lumber makes their way north and south into the forests. This area is rich in production, manufacturing, and newcomers don’t realize that marijuana is not the only industry in town. There is the lumber, wine, tourism trade, fishing industry, and often the lanes are filled with fog so thick that the mist in blinding to a driver. Written by Thomas Chee. This is a work of fiction.   Experiences that will allow a tourist to escape on their adventure in Las Vegas. Professionals insist that people will keep coming to Las Vegas for the convention or to seek fun, food, and freedom. Cities come to Las Vegas to steal our ideas all the time: Zip lines, nightclub themes, adult joins, marijuana lounges, singers, and shows. There are more reasons for tourists to not visit Las Vegas. To name a few alternatives, cities like Chicago, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Denver, these cities are incorporating rides, attractions, and stadiums similar to Las Vegas. The stadium experts insist that the stadiums are not going to bring in tourists with money. Professors that specialize in teaching university classes on the economics of stadiums point out facts that prove that the stadium will not bring in the money that Las Vegas is counting on. Gaming makes up the entire economy. Las Vegas is for sale. Written by Thomas Chee. This is a work of fiction. These books and novels a

Validations

Marijuana plants need water. Water from foreign countries growing marijuana is contaminated. Water from small town grows has high concentrations of unnecessary elements. If tourists don’t visit Las Vegas for fun, quality marijuana, the necessity of going to a convention, or gambling on slots, cards or sports, the citizens will suffer with unemployment. I suffered during the Recession that hit Las Vegas. I saw what happened first hand to families during the housing market. No jobs. When tourists stopped traveling during the Recession, available jobs were scarce, and that is what worries me when I work with officials making government laws now. Gaming is down. Lawmakers are retiring. Government leaders don’t want to be around when big problems come about that need to be solved. Locals have expectations, but tourists don’t have to travel to Las Vegas anymore, especially is resorts are charging for parking. Costs have risen in the resorts. People aren’t coming to Las Vegas to gamble anym

Control

Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world, but farmers can’t grow marijuana unless they pay for a lot of water in an environment that they have to create with light, soil, hydroponics. The industry will have problems supplying future demand in the city and I believe the answer is in my hometown of Santa Rosa. Northern California has great weed. Las Vegas has spaces to grow, but early pioneers learned that the soil was terrible for farming crops. Water is expensive. There is plenty of land along the properties surrounding the city’s tourist corridor, but there comes a threat when water is brought up. Written by Thomas Chee. This is a work of fiction.   Casino properties have been selling. Casinos have been firing their staff, especially the corporate executives. Owners of the big resorts are falling ill to sickness. Unfortunately, the owners are falling into corruption. Scandals have rocked the gaming industry. The properties that are for sale are what worry me about the economy. Shopping malls are for sale, casinos are closing down only to be sold to outside investors with no knowledge of doing business in Southern Nevada. Las Vegas relied on gambling. Mining is important too, but Las Vegas hotels joined to casinos house employees, jobs for the people of Las Vegas, and the city needs to attract more visitors. Marijuana became legal. That attracted a lot of visitors to town. Time to find solutions outside of Las Vegas. The Emerald Triangle is growing more powerful marijuana. The State of Colorado is experimenting with legalizing psychedelic mushrooms.  Written by Thomas Chee. This is a work of fiction. These books and novels are wo
